sprouts dhokla

Hello Friends,

Dhokla is something very famous part of snacks and served with pleasure during guest visit.
Today I want to share with you a dhokla with a twist, I am sure once your guest will taste this then they will ask you from which you got it because this is sprouts dhokla.

More upon I have made this dhokla in appe pan.

I am sure you like this twisted recipe at home.

Ingredients:-

1 Cup Moong Dal sprouts
1 Cup Besan
1 Cup Suzi
1 Pouch of Eno( Take Normal Eno, No any flavor )
1 Cup curd
Salt as per taste
1 Lemon Juice
1 Table Spoon Turmeric powder( Haldi )
1/2 Table Sugar
Dry coconut grated for garnishing
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
2-3 Green Chilli for garnishing
oil to grease and for tadka
5-6 Curry Leaves
1/2 Table spoon Mustard Seeds

Method:-

First grind the sprouts in to the mixer and make fine paste of it.

Now take a bowl and add besan, suzi, sprout paste, haldi, sugar, dahi, lemon juice, eno, salt as per taste and mix all this batter nicely.

Now take a appe pan and grease the appe pan well with little oil and put this batter in appe pan and keep the pan in slow flame and cover it with lid. In between check the visible side as if its cooked from the one visible side then turn it around to other side so that the both sides will cooked means both side needs to be cooked. you need to make sure it won't get burnt so you need to check in regular interval.

You can test the tender of dhokla by inserting the tooth pick in the center of dhokla as if the batter comes out with the tooth pick means the dhokla is not cooked yet, so keep checking. you can check again by same method means inserting the tooth pick in the center of dhokla and if the tooth pick comes out easily from dhokla ( without batter ) means the dhokla is cooked.

Once the dhokla is ready then take a pan and put some oil in it and mustard seeds once the oil heated then the mustard seeds will start cracking then add the curry leaves, long sliced green chilli, Now this tadka is ready.

Get a dhokla in a plate and put this tadka on the dhokla.

Now get a serving plate and add the dhokla with tadka in it and garnish the dhokla with grated coconut, coriander leaves.

Serve this dhokla with green mind chutney or imli ( Tamrind ) ki chutney.

This dhokla is really different in taste.

Enjoy!!
